We see his life from university days all the way through the creation of the Manhattan Project, while coming to terms with what it means to change the history of the world for the sake of winning World War Two. Post-WW2, his fame sees him cast out for giving mankind an unthinkable gift: power unlike any other, the power to destroy the world.
